[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]TCF is an official French level test delivered by the CIEP, a public institution of the French Ministry of National Education. Ifalpes is an exam center for this test that we organize once a month.
There are many variants of this exam depending on the reason why the candidate needs it for (university, French nationality, resident permit, canadian visa, work…).
At Ifalpes we propose 3 different TCF :
- General Public : For anyone who needs an official test for personal, academic or professional reason.
It’s made of a compulsory test oral and written understanding and language structures (76 questions in the form of multiple-choice questions). This test lasts 1 hour and 25 minutes.
It’s possible to add an individual writing test (3 texts to be produced in 1 hour). And/Or an individual test of oral expression (3 tasks in 20 minutes).
Price : 80€ for the compulsory test and 40€ per additional test (written or oral)
- French nationality : French level test required if you’re asking for French nationality.
2 compulsory test :
Oral understanding (29 questions in the form of multiple-choice questions). This test lasts 25 minutes.
Individual oral expression (3 tasks). This test lasts 12 minutes.
Price : 100€
Minimum level required for French Nationality : B1
- French resident card : For everybody asking for a 10 years French resident card.
4 compulsory test :
A collective oral understanding test : 20 questions in the form of multiple-choice questions. This test lasts 20 minutes.
A collective written understanding test: 20 questions in the form of multiple-choice questions. This test lasts 20 minutes.
An individual writing test : 3 texts to be produced. This test lasts 20 minutes.
An individual oral expression test : 3 tasks. This test lasts 12 minutes.
Price : 140€
Minimum level required : A2
The validity of a TCF is 2 years.

Highly recommended! I spent two months and now I can speak basic conversational french. Instructors really care about students learning to speak french. And they have a lot of extracurricular activities around Annecy. I am going back again this year!
