End of lock down !

Good news! The French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday 29 April 2021 the official calendar for the end of lock down. Reopening of restaurants, bars and cultural places… We are happy to present you the details of the coming dates :

Monday 3rd May 2021

End of daytime travel restrictions !

The 10-kilometre limit is off ! You can therefore take full advantage of the activities and excursions that are organized around Annecy. Mountain walks, bike rides, excursions to emblematic cities such as Lyon or Chamonix. There is something for everyone !

The end of the 10km restrictions also allows you to move freely between regions, so you can make the most of your stay in France without travel restrictions !

Wednesday 19th May 2021

The terraces and cultural activities are back !

On the 19th May, all the shops will reopen, as will the terraces of bars, cafés and restaurants. But not only that ! Museums, cinemas, theatres and sports venues (stadiums) will open their doors again. The curfew will be postponed to 9pm. Our cultural activities, such as outings, will start again on the 19th May. Drinks on the terrace in the old town, visits to museums… We look forward to make you discover our beautiful city !

Wednesday 09th June 2021

Reopening of bars, cafés and restaurants indoors !

Bars, cafés and restaurants will be able to reopen indoors, as will gyms. This new step towards a full end of lock down also announces a delay of the curfew to 11 pm. This means that you will be able to enjoy the cultural and gastronomic establishments late in the evening ! Another highlight of this date : foreign tourists will again be able to come to France on presentation of a health pass (up-to-date vaccination booklet).

Wednesday 30th June

End of the curfew !

At last ! The curfew will be officially off ! You will be able to enjoy our city without any time limit ! Moreover, all cultural and sports events will be allowed without any limit of participants. Festivals, trade fairs and congresses will therefore be accessible to all ! However, a health pass (up-to-date vaccination booklet) may be required for events with the largest number of participants.

The days to come are going to be incredible, with an end of the lock down in sight. We look forward to welcoming you to our school for French classes. We also look forward to showing you our beautiful city and all the wonders it has to offer.
