From March 30th until April 1st 2016 IFALPES hosted the 26th Annual CCIS College Consortium for International Studies Conference “Strengthen Partnerships” in our charming city of Annecy. The goal of the CCIS Conference was to strengthen partnerships, discuss the development of the international student exchanges.
During the conference speakers covered subjects such as: partnerships for greater campus internationalization, safety and security from US and international perspectives; opportunities to strengthen partnerships, etc. The event has welcomed more than 30 universities this year: Truman State University (US), Montana University (US), Edge University (US), Broward College (US), Kingston University (US), The American University of Rome (Italy) Kingston University (London) Salzburg College (Austria) and many more…
The College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS) offers a large range of quality international education opportunities abroad. IFALPES has been welcomed in the French Alps for more than 20 years, American CCIS students, who come to learn French in France and transfer US credits to their home universities.
The participants were welcomed at the town hall, by Christophe Chenu, delegate on charge of twinning committee, Mr Chenu presented the work engaged by the city in order to preserve the historical and architectural heritage, monitor the quality of water and air, preserve nature and improve urban development. Annecy is called the Venise of the Alps, and has the purest lakes in Europe. A very attractive place for business and tourism and for student exchange programs. As the international students bare witnessed, Annecy is great environment to study, discover the French culture and enjoy life.
Testimony from Hannah Gayhart, CCIS student studying at IFALPES:
“CCIS is a wonderful organization that connected me to IFALPES where I currently study abroad. I had many options to attend schools all over the world. CCIS helped me choose what school and city I fit best in. Studying in France has made me grow as a person and will forever have an impact on my life”.
