They are open from December until the end of March and buses leave daily from the bus station to reach them.
Le Semnoz : The nearest ski resort from Annecy. About 40 minutes by bus from the bus station. The Semnoz is a small family resort offering 18 alpine ski slopes with a snow park and 10 Nordic ski slopes. If you do not want to ski for a very long time it is possible to take a pass per hour !
Le Grand Bornand : Located 1 hour by bus from Annecy, this resort offers 46 Nordic ski slopes with a snowpark and 11 Nordic ski slopes. The bus ticket is 8€ per way. You have the choice between half-day pass (4 hours) or full day.
La Clusaz : The biggest ski resort near Annecy ! La Clusaz offers 85 Nordic ski slopes with a snowpark. This is the station where the professional skier Candide THOVEX is from ! Around 1 hour also from Annecy, the bus ticket is 8€.
You do not want to ski? It doesn’t matter, come and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a ski resort. Enjoy the view and the sun while snowshoeing ! Highly recommended! I spent two months and now I can speak basic conversational french. Instructors really care about students learning to speak french. And they have a lot of extracurricular activities around Annecy. I am going back again this year!
