Every year, the Christmas market and the village of the Alps bring a magical and festive atmosphere to the city!
During the day, at the edge of the canal in the old town, is the Christmas market consisting of many cottages where local and national craftsmen offer their different products. Stroll among the many booths and take the opportunity to practice your French by talking with traders. A dance floor and a stage are installed for the animations during the day!
From 5pm, you can head to the “Village des Alpes” on Place François de Menthon. With a bar in the center surrounded by cottages that sell food and drinks, it’s a friendly and warm place where you can meet between classmates for a drink after a day of French lessons at Ifalpes! The village offers concerts, dj sets and theme nights several times a week.

Highly recommended! I spent two months and now I can speak basic conversational french. Instructors really care about students learning to speak french. And they have a lot of extracurricular activities around Annecy. I am going back again this year!
