Annecy Saint Andrew fair

Annecy Saint Andrew fair

Traditional event dating from the Middle Ages, the Saint Andrew fair is one of the most anticipated annual events in Annecy!

Indeed, each year on the first Tuesday of December, the city center is transformed into gigantic open air market.

At the time it was an opportunity for people living in the countryside to sell their products and make purchases of all kinds.

Nowadays, the Saint André Fair attracts more crowds for its atmosphere. It’s a day to stroll through the many stands, make Christmas shopping and look for bargains. At noon we can stop in one of the many food stands to enjoy a good tartiflette or a diots sandwich!

The fair Saint André in numbers is:

  • More than 1000 merchants
  • 5.5 km of stands
  • from 9h to 19h

Each year at Ifalpes, we organize an activity on that day to go to the fair and have something to eat together!

Highly recommended! I spent two months and now I can speak basic conversational french. Instructors really care about students learning to speak french. And they have a lot of extracurricular activities around Annecy. I am going back again this year!
